I wouldn't normally post this type of thing...but I received this in my e-mail box this morning and I looked it up on snopes.com to make sure it was true and it is!!!
Please take the time to read this and sign the petition....in all likelihood this could be very near and dear to one of us!
Thank you in advance....Stacey~

Thank you Stacey for adding this topic, the article and the petition! Now this is a petition that I WILL sign! Wink How sad is it that these women have to go through something like this and then be sent home before they know how to fully take care of themselves? Insurance companies do help sometimes, yes, BUT for the most part they SUCK and they are only looking out for themselves!!! I signed...lets help give these women the 2 hospital days, care, understanding, rest and everything else that they need after going through something so tramatic!

Thank you Stacey! This is a much more worthy cause than the other petition circulating.

I have a friend that's a nurse. She spends the first night after surgery in a hotel room with patients that don't have someone to take care of them at home. These patients should be able to stay in the hospital.

I hope lots of people sign this petition.

WOW E! Your friend sounds very sweet! Does she do this out of the kindness of her heart or is this something she gets paid for? Not that it matters...its still very sweet and thoughtful!

I agree...they should have a hospital stay. When I got my apendix taken out I was in the hospital for 3 days and that was just an apendix I wasnt getting a part of my outer body removed!!! I just dont get it!

A good friend of my moms has breast cancer and has had a mastectomy and is starting her 3rd or 4th round of kimo again! Her youngest dd is 13 and they dont know if this will help again b/c her cancer is spreading. Please keep her in your prayers! She is one of the sweetest women Ive ever had the pleasure of knowing and I worry about her. Thanks! Smile

momof3, my friend works for a doctor. But it still takes a special person to be able to stay with a patient and take care of them all night. Very Happy

Wow. Amazing. This is beyond necessary and should be completely within a woman's rights as a patient. I will go and sign now.
